Cosa accade se si decide di non negoziare con i criminali? Recentemente la Boeing – leder nel settore dell’aviazione e dell’aerospazio – ha reso noto che gli hacker del noto gruppo ransomware Lockbit hanno violato i suoi sistemi infiltrandosi e rubando progetti di grande valore. La vicenda ha preso una piega drammatica quando il gruppo ransomware ha chiesto un sostanzioso pagamento per non rendere noti i dati rubati e la Boeing ha scelto coraggiosamente di non pagarlo ben sapendo che i dati sarebbero stati pubblicati sul dark web. Questa violazione e la conseguente diffusione dei dati mette in evidenza quando le aziende, comprese quelle di grandi dimensioni, debbano aumentare il grado di sicurezza dei loro sistemi informatici soprattutto a salvaguardia delle informazioni sensibili.

Lina Khan, presidente della Commissione federale del commercio, ha dichiarato che la loro vigilanza sul mercato sarà volta ad prevenire comportamenti anti concorrenziali.

Recently, Boeing – a lender in the aviation and aerospace industry – disclosed that hackers from the notorious ransomware group Lockbit had breached its systems by infiltrating and stealing valuable projects. The affair took a dramatic turn when the ransomware group demanded a substantial payment for not disclosing the stolen data, and Boeing bravely chose not to pay it, knowing full well that the data would be published on the dark web.
