In UK il Commissario per l’informazione ha avvertito i principali gestori di siti web che potrebbero subire una serie di controlli relativamente alle loro policy riguardo i cookie perché gli utenti devono poter rifiutare il tracciamento con la stessa facilità con la quale lo possono accettare. A tal fine sono state date indicazioni su come conformarsi alla legge sulla protezione dei dati e 30 giorni, dal ricevimento della comunicazione, per adeguarsi.

USA, JOHNSON&JOHNSON COLPITA DA UNA SECONDA CAUSA PER VIOLAZIONE DEI DATI SANITARI
Secondo una recente denuncia ne mese di agosto del 2023 IBM Corp. e Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. hanno subito una massiccia violazione che ha esposto le informazioni sanitarie personali di oltre mezzo milione di persone.La violazione dei dati ha riguardato questo programma di assistenza ai pazienti che offre agli utenti informazioni sui farmaci prescritti e ne conserva i dati. Secondo la denuncia, J&J ha utilizzato IBM come fornitore di servizi per gestire questa applicazione e il database di terze parti che la supporta.

EURO DIGITALE SERVIRA’ A GARANTIRE CONCORRENZA E PRIVACY
Nel suo primo intervento pubblico Fabio Panetta, Governatore della Banca d’Italia, è intervenuto alla conferenza di Cepr e Bce parlando delle ricadute delle valute digitali e delle banche centrali. Secondo il Governatore le valute digitali delle banche centrali apporterebbero benefici considerevoli ai pagamenti digitali e d ha concluso sottolineando che “con i grandi gruppi tecnologici che si espandono ulteriormente nella finanza digitale, la disponibilità di una valuta digitale della Banca centrale, assieme a una normativa efficace, diventerebbe necessaria per garantire concorrenza, privacy e un funzionamento regolare dei pagamenti e dei processi di intermediazione finanziaria”.

In the UK, the Information Commissioner has warned major website operators that they may face scrutiny over their cookie policies because users must be able to refuse tracking as easily as they can accept it. In his first public speech, Fabio Panetta, Governor of the Bank of Italy, spoke at the Cepr and ECB conference about the impact of digital currencies and central banks. According to the Governor, central bank digital currencies would bring considerable benefits to digital payments and d concluded by stressing that ‘with large technology groups expanding further into digital finance, the availability of a central bank digital currency, together with effective regulation, would become necessary to ensure competition, privacy and the smooth functioning of payments and financial intermediation processes’.
