IRLANDA, LA DPC AVVIERA’ UN’INDAGINE SUI CLUB SPORTIVI PER VERIFICARE LA COMPLIANCE AL GDPR
In Irlanda la Commissione per la protezione dei dati (DPC) sta conducendo un’indagine rivolta ai club sportivi al fine di valutare il livello di consapevolezza e comprensione della protezione dei dati anche in questo settore. Obiettivo principale dell’indagine è quello di fornire assistenza e orientamento al settore per garantire la conformità alle normative sulla protezione dei dati, con particolare attenzione all’uso della tecnologia per la raccolta e l’analisi dei dati sulle prestazioni dei giocatori. Inoltre, si vuole garantire che i giocatori e soprattutto nel caso dei minori siano adeguatamente informati sui loro diritti in materia di protezione dei dati, in base al Regolamento generale sulla protezione dei dati (GDPR). L’indagine coinvolgerà club di vari sport, inclusi quelli affiliati a organizzazioni come Football Association of Ireland (FAI), Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) e Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA).
