USA, IL DOT AVVIERA’ UN’INDAGINE SULLE POLITICHE PRIVACY DELLE MAGGIORI COMPAGNIE AEREE
Pete Buttigieg – Segretario ai Trasporti degli Stati Uniti – ha annunciato che il Dipartimento dei Trasporti avvierà una revisione della privacy che interesserà dieci trae le maggiori compagnie aeree del Paese per verificare come queste raccolgano ed utilizzino le informazioni personali dei passeggeri. Scopo della revisione è garantire che le compagnie tutelino in maniera adeguata i i dati personali dei loro clienti e non li condividano in modo inappropriato con terze parti. Qualora vengano riscontrate pratiche non conformi il DOT adotterà azioni quali indagini e ‘elaborazione di norme specifiche. Il Senatore Ron Wyden ha elogiato l’iniziativa, sottolineando l’importanza di regolamentazioni efficaci per garantire la privacy dei consumatori. Il DOT ha dichiarato inoltre di avere l’autorità per indagare sui reclami e di poter rendere provvedimenti contro le compagnie aeree che non rispettano le disposizioni in materia di privacy dei passeggeri. La revisione in oggetto riguarda le compagnie Allegiant, Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit e United, ed è il primo passo di iniziative future per garantire la protezione dei dati dei consumatori da parte delle compagnie aeree.

UE, SI RAFFORZA LA COOPERAZIONE DIGITALE CON IL BRASILE
Il dialogo digitale tra Unione Europea e Brasile fa parte del partenariato strategico creato nel 2007 e promuove una cooperazione su diverse questioni politiche, economiche e sociali. Vogliono anche promuovere lo scambio di informazioni sulle catene di approvvigionamento dei semiconduttori, lavorare sull’interoperabilità tecnica dei sistemi di firma digitale, proseguire il dialogo sulla protezione dei dati e sugli scambi internazionali di dati, condividere le migliori pratiche e favorire la cooperazione sui quadri normativi per i dati, l’intelligenza artificiale e le piattaforme.

BERMUDA, IL COMMISSARIO PRIVACY PUBBLICA UNA GUIDA SULLA MAPPATURA DEI DATI
Il Commissario della privacy delle isole Bermuda ha pubblicato una efficace guida che consente alle aziende, soprattutto quelle che operano in più nazioni che gestiscono molte informazioni, archiviate in diversi luoghi, come hardware, software e anche file fisici su carta di monitorarne il flusso. In questo senso è cruciale che tengano traccia dei processi non solo all’interno ma anche a livello globale. Garantendo il monitoraggio dei flussi di dati. USA, DOT WILL LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO PRIVACY POLICIES OF MAJOR AIRLINES
US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced that the Department of Transportation will launch a privacy review involving ten of the country’s largest airlines to examine how they collect and use passengers’ personal information. The purpose of the review is to ensure that airlines adequately protect their customers’ personal information and do not inappropriately share it with third parties. If non-compliant practices are found, the DOT will take actions such as investigations and ‘drafting specific rules.
