In una intervista rilasciata al Guardian l’autore di Sapiens ha sottolineato che la dichiarazione unilaterale firmata la scorsa settimana al vertice mondiale sulla sicurezza dell’IA a Bletchley Park è stata un “passo avanti molto importante” perché senza una cooperazione globale, sarà estremamente difficile, se non impossibile, contenere il potenziale più pericoloso dell’IA”. L’IA – ha continuato Harari – “è diversa da tutte le tecnologie precedenti nella storia dell’umanità perché è la prima tecnologia che può prendere decisioni da sola, che può creare nuove idee da sola e che può imparare e svilupparsi da sola. ”.
